We recently (September 2022) visited the Four Oaks Trade Show’s 50th anniversary show and met current and potential new members and we’d like to thank everyone who came along to see us.
We participated in the new Educate, Collaborate & Innovate zone, which featured all the major associations, membership groups and charities that operate in our sector.
Our Chairman, Tammy Woodhouse, also participated in an expert panel discussing Sustainability in Horticulture, which was a fantastic success.
She said: “There were more than 300 exhibitors from around the UK, Europe and as far away as New Zealand and Japan. They were joined by more than 4,000 visitors. Plants, products, technology and services were presented to visitors in a wonderful showcase and excellent offers were made available. Lots of business was done, important connections were made, and long-held relationships were cemented.”
The Four Oaks Trade Show is an international exhibition covering the whole of commercial ornamental horticulture. The event took place on a 23-acre nursery site in Cheshire, close to the Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope, covering an area of 13,000m² under glass with additional outdoor areas.
Christina Walker, Sales & Marketing Manager at Four Oaks Trade Show, said: “Thank you to all who attended for participating in a bustling celebratory event that brought the commercial side of the horticulture industry back together again after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
“There was universal joy at being connected in person again and the atmosphere was positively buzzing.”
Four Oaks 2022 was a belated celebration of the 50th anniversary of the trade show and held in honour of the late Pat Coutts, who organised it for many years.
Displays of plant material form the heart of the show, with plant producers using the platform to launch the next season’s lines. Mature stock and specimen plants from across Europe create showcase displays. Machinery, growing media, sundries, retail products, Christmas ware, services can also be found at Four Oaks.
